Objective
Voodoo is a New Orleans upscale cocktail bar targeting 22–37 year old, upper-middle class tourists and locals, in the heart of Bourbon Street. The bar is highly inspired by the spiritual folkways that are part of the African Diaspora and history of New Orleans.

Solution
The bar identity combines ancient symbols for the god of business with the geometric, sans serif font Avenir. The minimal black and white palette of the logo and layout of the menu adds sophistication.  I used a variety of ritual voodoo symbols or “veves” on the menu to authentically represent figures of the astral forces to help inject the mystery of voodoo culture
